$1,500 RAISED IN 4 HOURS!
“We are excited and proud to join in the fight on kid’s cancer. In conjunction with the national Hyundai Hope on Wheels program we will make a donation for every car sold the entire month of October,” Bob Mayberry Jr. announced.
Since it’s inception in 2004, Hyundai Hope on Wheels, has donated more than $12 million to institutions nationwide to help kids fight cancer. The Hope on Wheels Medical Advisory Board is made up of leaders in cancer research treatment; Dr. Leonard Sender, Dr. David Poplack and Dr. Dan Weschler. This year the Hope on Wheels Tour will travel to children’s hospitals across the country and donate $1.3 million to support further training and support for doctors involved in pediatric cancer research.
We had a successful inaugural “Hyundai Hope on Wheels” celebration this past Saturday at Bob Mayberry Hyundai. Food was donated by Papa John’s, Chick-Fila-A, and Jersey Mike’s. Fun Machines, Bounce House and slides were provided by Space Walk of South Charlotte. Brotha Fred from 96.1 The Beat handed out over 40 prizes while Cubby from 96.1 “The Beat” joined in the fun by getting in the dunk tank. Donations were accepted and everyone in attendance had a blast while helping support Hyundai’s Hope on Wheels.
From everyone at Bob Mayberry Hyundai of Monroe, thank you for coming out and joining the fight on Kids Cancer. With your help we raised over $1,500 in 4 short hours, to fight cancer. We appreciate everyone’s hard work and dedication to the cause. We look forward to doing it again next year!
